Affiliate membership is available to real estate owners and other individuals or firms who are not engaged in the real estate profession as a REALTORŪ, but have interests requiring information concerning real estate and are in agreement with the objectives of the Association. Typical Affiliate members include those in the mortgage industry, appraisers, home inspectors, insurance agencies, attorneys and others.
Affiliate members can benefit greatly from their membership in the local Association of REALTORSŪ. They receive the monthly newsletter and are invited to the quarterly membership meetings where they can network with the REALTORS and often times will sponsor these meetings or other events offered through the Association in order to promote their businesses. Affiliate members may also receive limited, fee-based, access to the Rockbridge Multiple Listing Service.
